Auto Zoom

AutoZoom enables automatic zoom to a map feature or graphic associated with a results table record or other control action. The map extent is set to display the feature in 80% the width of the map. This is activated on any PlanTest object displayed in test results tables or graphics control items.

Basic Use

  1. click to toggle AutoZoom on.
  2. click again to toggle AutoZoom off.

Details

AutoZoom is one of the most useful features of PlanTest. It allows exploration of specific features enumerated in the Test Results tables as well as Graphics created by analysis. It shows you what you need to see, when you need to see it.

AutoZoom is activated by:

  1. Selection of a row in the Test Results table.
  2. The "Next Error" button on the Test Results window.
  3. Selection of a graphic from the Graphics controls.

AutoZoom and the "Bring into View" option on the main "Options" menu, both provide a degree of automatic viewing of features of interest. "Bring into View" simply ensures the feature will be visible. It does not zoom in to the feature, only pans. This helps provide a continuity of visual experience, so you keep your "place" on the map.
