Dock a Window

To dock a window, grab its title bar, or tab if already docked, and start drag. Once dragging, guide positions will be shown. Select a guide positions and release. The inner guide positions dock the window inside another window, group, or dock site. Also implemented as action in Windows and context menus.

Basic Use

To dock a window,

  1. click the window's title bar, or tab if already docked, and start drag.
  2. Once dragging, guide positions will be shown.
  3. The inner guide positions dock the window inside another window, group, or dock site.
  4. hover drag arrow over desired guide position and release.

Details

  1. You can also use the window's context menu.
  2. You can also use Windows Dock on the main menu.
  3. You can dock a window into any other window container, such as a single window on another monitor.
  4. The center guide, if selected, will dock the window as part of a tabbed group.
